Image Galleries: Saggar Fired Pieces

Copper sulphate and various oxides applied to surfaces of bisqued pieces, then wrapped in seaweed and other combustibles using copper wire and foil and placed inside a saggar (a sealed fireclay box). Fired in a gas kiln as vapours emitted during the firing can damage electric kiln elements.
